He was Secretary of the Environment and Natural Resources Editorial Office, the first legal magazine in Spanish on environmental law with the publishing house La Ley. He was Executive Director of FARN (Fundaci\u00f3n Ambiente y Recursos Naturales) from where he promoted legal regimes, environmental institutions and citizen participation mechanisms in nine Latin American countries. He was a consultant to UNDP, the OAS and the World Bank. He was the first AVINA Representative in Latin America, developer of the organization in five Latin American countries, creating international bridges both in the region and with Europe and in charge of launching its first climate change strategy.
