Rodrigo Salcedo

Rodrigo is an agricultural and environmental economist who has always been interested in designing and promoting public and/or private interventions to improve people's quality of life, especially in rural areas. From the beginning of his career, he was interested in investigating how the means of production of small and medium agricultural producers in Peru can be improved, with a view to achieving greater articulation with agricultural markets and reducing levels of rural poverty. As he became involved in multidisciplinary work, he understood that proper management of the environment and natural resources is essential to guarantee sustainable livelihoods for agricultural producers. Thus, Rodrigo became involved in the analysis of groundwater management, integrated watershed management and the design of policies for the reduction of deforestation and the conservation of ecosystems, the design of sustainable agricultural marketing projects and the financing of projects of conservation, in addition to disseminating the importance of the sustainable management of ecosystems and natural resources among its university students.

Rodrigo believes that the regenerative approach is, in reality, a lifestyle that transforms, not only the way in which a community or surroundings develop, but also that transforms yourself, and these transformations are necessary to ensure our existence as a species human.
