Coordinator of the Department of Environmental Sciences of the Institute for Research in Natural Sciences and Technology (Iarna, for its acronym in Spanish) of Rafael Landívar University. The department that he coordinates develops investigations that are framed in the areas of: state and trends of natural assets, limits or ceilings for life and environmental conditions for life. 

He considers that NARs are a practical and realistic way to improve relations between society and nature, especially necessary in these times when we are having clear evidence of the deterioration of environmental conditions for the performance of life in all its forms.
